We have been busy investigators and engineers in our Science lessons in April.
Building Bridges
We learned about the different types of bridges - beam, suspension, arch and truss.
We discovered lots of famous bridges in Ireland and around the world.
We then put on our engineering hats and constructed bridges strong enough to hold a toy car.
Slopes
We explored what a force meant and what slopes are. We then set about investigating if a slope affects the distance a toy car travels. We discovered that the higher the slope, the further the car moved.
We had so much fun working together in these lessons.
