We have had a very busy and fun week for Maths Week. Some of the activities we did were
- Daily Maths Estimation Station - Mrs McKevitt and Mr McCabe had daily maths tasks for each class to do. We really enjoyed making estimations and then finding out the answer
- Maths games - we played different maths games in our table groups including Ten on the Spot, Three in a Row, Playdoh 2D shapes and numbers, Peg board 2D shapes and Geoboard 2D shapes
- We created patterns on our pattern grid. We used 2 - 4 colours to make a repeated pattern
- 2D shape hunt - We went on a shape hunt around our classroom and we drew the pictures into our copies. We were surprised by how many shapes were around us!
- Shapenstein Art - We linked in Halloween and made ‘Shapenstein’. We then counted the number of shapes we cut out for our pictures
We really loved Maths Week in Room 4!!
